Designer Spotlight: Fanci Club
Meet Duy Tran, a 24-year-old Vietnamese designer that quit fashion school to kickstart his own label, Fanci Club in 2018. His designs are heavily influenced by Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano with a taste of Y2K facets. Since then, his eponymous innovations have been sported on names like Blackpink, Bella Hadid, and Olivia Rodrigo.
In the beginning, he started Fanci Club as a second-hand clothing reseller before re-working garments. In 2021, Tran debuted his first collection of authentic designs that transformed his brand into the version it is today. Im Na-yeon of the K-pop group, Twice, and American singer-songwriter, Olivia Rodrigo, both wore delicate pink-bowed black corsets created by Tran.

From corsets to dresses, the brand ethos feature flowy, sheer fabrics like mesh and nylon that gives off a audacious and seductive appeal. With that, several retailers have started sieving out similar designs to the pivoting label.
His recent collection ‘Colour of Unadulterated Insanity’ which presented dark femininity was released on April 15.

With elements like rose and bow applique, we understand why fashion enthusiasts and celebrities adore a label like Fanci Club. We love his creative direction of all the past photoshoots did by the brand and we look forward to seeing more.
