Emily in Paris III: Maximalist Queen

With the latest season of the fashion hit, Emily in Paris, we are definitely in for more of Emily’s fashion adventures. She has certainly evolved in style since the first season and this time around, she has made some maximalist choices and some more understated Parisian choices.

Let’s take a look at some of her wardrobe choices, shall we.

The Pink Feathered Cape

Are we still surprised that Emily is pulling off this over the top sweet outfit? Her maximalist fashion ways work so well for her, that seeing her in a pink feathered cape doesn’t immediately scream flamingo. We love that it is a mini length and paired with platforms instead of stilettos as is her usual MO.

Checked Jacket X Sailor Trousers

Yes this sounds like a routine nautical themed outfit, but alas nothing that Emily does is routine. The colourful checked styled with a clashing electric blue is shocking to say the least. I would say about 40% of it worked for me. Her friend, Mindy’s cute little coordinating set with knee high boots though, those we can get behind.

Flying Zebra Jacket

Which fashion drama series will not feature at least one gala so everyone can get glammed up. This time Emily’s wardrobe of choice was glamorous for sure. With a zebra print jacket with wings adorning the sleeves. Luckily it was paired with a black mini, no over the top floor length skirt. Because of that the look balanced off and of course worked on our maximalist queen.

Parisian Chic?

Throughout the episodes, you do spot Emily in some rather low profile ensembles. At least they were low profile for her. Like the cute little orange cropped jacket, black wide legged trousers and red platforms. No prints, only colour blocking. You also see her rocking a nice black power dress, with strong shoulders and 3 large button details down the front. Showing off her chic fashion sense. Another look featured her in a velvet suit with gold buttons, styled with some gold accessories and a mini gold bag. Could it be that the Parisian way has rubbed off on her, at least slightly?

Fluro Green

Well this look is definitely a looker, with a mid length coat in fluorescent green with a magnified paisley print, styled with a matching green wristlet. She looks like a walking highlighter, perhaps if the print was less garish or if the coat was shorter, it might have worked. She would have definitely stuck out like a sore thumb along the streets of Paris.

Regular Office Lady

In one of the episodes she was seen in a classic Rotate silhouette, the dress with ultra puff sleeves. Looks routine in a fashion office, the print was a black and blue marble print. Guessing her everyday style has been toned down and definitely more wearable than before.

Monochrome

These looks were loud that was for sure, but Emily definitely tried to keep it monotone with the same colour throughout. Really mitigating the loud factor with 1 colour instead of 5 different ones.
